Who We Are
Built on Craftsmanship
We're a Salt Lake City general contracting firm that believes the best buildings are built with intention — and that every project, large or small, deserves to be done right.
Our Story
Refined Building Company was founded on a simple belief: that quality craftsmanship and honest business practices should be the standard, not the exception. Based in Salt Lake City, we've built our reputation project by project — earning the trust of homeowners, property managers, and business owners across the Wasatch Front.
We specialize in the work that demands the most skill and care: historic home restoration, high-end residential and commercial remodels, and the kind of detailed handyman work that most contractors won't touch. Our team brings deep expertise in period construction, modern building science, and the fine finish work that separates a good renovation from a great one.
Salt Lake City's architectural heritage is something we take seriously. From the Victorian homes of the Avenues to the Craftsman bungalows of Capitol Hill, we understand what makes these buildings special — and how to preserve that character while making them work for modern life.
What We Stand For
Craftsmanship First
We don't cut corners. Every detail matters, from the framing to the finish work.
Honest Communication
Clear estimates, realistic timelines, and no surprises. You'll always know where your project stands.
Respect for Heritage
We honor the history of Salt Lake City's built environment and approach historic work with the care it deserves.
Long-Term Relationships
Most of our work comes from referrals and repeat clients. We build relationships, not just buildings.
